I did an 8 mile walk on my 1st time wearing these shoes all around San Francisco. As usual, Avia shoes are the best. Very comfortable, light weight, made very well, and look good too. Good arch support. Fits well. Lightweight. Looks good. Easy on and off. Needs more cushioning and support on the heel with a denser midsole. This would require a higher heel counter. Not for prolonged standing at all in its current form because it is uncomfortable and painful at the heel when not in active stride. I have noticed that this isn't always the case between various pairs of the same style/color and brand of this shoe. I ordered the green and blue varieties. The blue are more comfortable than the green. Maybe that is a quality control issue. This shoe does break it and this does get better with time, but the counter also gets worse as you take it off and put it on over time. Specifically, the counter doesn't stay firm and it starts to rub against the back of the heel instead of allowing the heel to be socketed into place.If you plan to buy this shoe you should use a show horn to preserve the counter because the manufacturer didn't think to make it firmer to withstand repeated wear.Great value running shoesComfortable and light not sure about the durability and the fit a little tight but not bad.Queda bienComfortable shoes, excellent price and my husband loves them.
