The difference was not a positive one. I have worn ASICS shoes for twenty years and have had good success with product reliability. However this shoe line continues a trend that made me change to another brand. The shoes have become narrower over the years (verified by a running shoe store worker). In addition, the traditional tongue is no longer the same. The tongue is part of a one piece construction making the shoe's upper narrower as well. As a result the shoe is more difficult to slip on. The rest of the construction seems satisfactory as usual.
