Because of the cup in the heel and the overall quality the Novablast is a life saver for me. I usually don't review as I work 70+ hrs in my small business and usually don't take the time....BUT I am SO glad someone told me about ASICS and to sure to look for the heel cup...plus these are designed to also help with under-pronation so I thought is would help my ankles which hurt a bit (maybe a pinch of arthritis creeping in). I am on cement floor all day in deli and back and forth in store. Yes, I have mats...but NOTHING helps like these shoes. Any other shoes, even more expensive lasted half a year or less. I buy one pair a year of these and they pay for themselves with less chiropractor bills. I also watch for sales and snap them up. I usually can grab for $99 or less. BEST MONEY I SPEND!!!!!! Thank you ASIC. I have 8 pair! Some for casual wear as they feel great no matter where I am!!!!(32F rehabbing back to 45mph) I had read reviews saying that the size for the Novablast runs smaller than typical, but I ordered my usual running size (9 womens, a half size larger than my non-running shoes) and notice no difference in sizing compared to my other running shoes (Saucony, Nike). Very happy with the fit and the shoe overall as a daily trainer!! Firm but not stiff; responsive. Legs feel fresher the day after long runs in these compared to Brooks Ghost 13 or Saucony Triumph 18, though still not as fresh as in a plated shoe- however, too much plated running aggravates foot and ankle problems for me, so I wanted a non-plated trainer for long and daily runs. Will still prefer to use my plated shoes (endorphin pro and next% tempo) in race specific phase during high intensity sessions.Seriously only gave 4 starts due to color choices and they are not very airy (my feet get hot in sandals though). I am a huge Asics fan. I have been having a lot of issues with my feet and the podiatrist and chiro and PT couldn't seem to figure it out. Tried orthotic insets, braces and was supposed to go into a boot. I decided to try these out. Got them for an awesome price($60). Game changer!! I realized I step way out to the side of my foot when walking and that was causing a lot of issues. These actually make me walk more straight and toward the instep I think because of the "rocker" on the sole. Try them, you'll love them!I work as a nurse. These will be my go-to for work shoes from now on!!! So comfortable!I'm a travel nurse who works 48-60 hours a week in the ED, Step down and medical surgical units. I literally run for the entire 12 hours most shifts especially these days when patients are a lot sicker! These shoes are amazing! My feet are supported. The soles are firm but comfortable. The material is breathable but repels fluids. The soles are nonskid. I wear an 11 medium and it fits true to size. You won't be disappointed!I’ve been using FF Novablast for a while now but this “generation” runs much smaller. The toe box is narrow and although I’ve always used a size 8 the pair that I ordered in size 8 is really significantly smaller. I would be 100 percent happy if I had sized up.Like running on a memory foam pillow. This is the first time Iv never had a blister or sore feet from these running shoes. After no less than 3 purchase/returns, the ASICS Novablast is the cream that has risen to the ?! Lol I even had a 4th and 5th option waiting in my cart but I think imma give those poor Amazon Returns workers a break :) because pretty sure they’re plenty busy this year. Ok full disclosure is I’m on a high as I type this ... just took these out on their maiden voyage, a road walk-run, about 2.5miles. All I can say is these are The Ones for me. I have falling arches and nerve damage thru both of my feet/toes (TY chemo ?) and these make me feel like I can GOOOOO!!!? There’s comfy cushioning thru my stride and even some fancy “energy return” in my steps, and I’m not one that buys into marketing buzzword-hype. My left foot likes to roll outward and that left shoe is working! ?FYI these beat out some similar-priced competition: Brooks Ghost & Adrenaline, and ASICS Nimbus. Was also set to try a NB Foam model and ASICS Cumulus but I’m calling off the search and saying these are The Winner ? (It’s my birthday and I’ll buy if I want to ? )I was ready to get some shoes with color this time cuz colors are fun, but I’m vibing with the galactic speckles on the bottom sidewalls with basic black top. Bonus: it matches all my workout wear ? Got a 10.5, half size larger than street shoes, and they’re perfect. (I’d advise the 1/2 size bump-up to most folks with running shoes in general.) Lastly, about the construction, it’s like all these newer shoes with the lame knit material that conforms but may not necessarily be the most durable. But think about it, no shoe company wants you to stop buying shoes, sooo they can’t make them last too long ?. It’s some weird ideal I have that they should want our money because we love their product rather than just for their bottom line ... But I’m going down a rabbit hole now ? These are Still Winners ?Hope this non-technical review helps someone. If you’ve read my rant this far: TY. All to say if you’re on the same weary journey for good shoes, just give‘em a try and Free Return-It if you’re a Primer.Cuz Happy Feet make for more active days ???✌️Best running shoes ever.Get them!Every day wear. Very comfortable.Janet McCabe.
