I have a slight overpronation when I run, and have been wearing Mizuno Wave Inspires for the past 5 years. I was getting frustrated with my toe always breaking through the mesh uppers after about 100 miles on them, and I just didn't seem to be getting as many miles out of them as I used to. So I did some research to see what other models out there would work for me. Asics Gel Kayano popped up. It had been a while since I ran in Asics, but figured I would give it a try. I started with the Kayano 28s and they felt really good on my feet. I figured I'd give the 29s a shot a week later. I followed the advice of some of the other reviewers and went up half a size than I normally wear (I have the 28s in a 10 and they fit fine). The 10.5 is perfect for me in this model. The back of the shoe hugs your heel, and the toe box is big enough to accommodate your feet swelling during hot, humid runs. I 100% recommend giving these a try if you overpronate, or suffer from shin splints or plantar fasciitis. I used the 'Try Before You Buy' option and bought them the same day they arrived (after running a couple of mile on my treadmill with them).
