I was referred to a physical therapist for my ankle pain. The physical therapist said my present sneakers were inadequate for my issues which are high arches, and failed calf muscles, which are supposed to absorb walking impact, so all the impact was being put on my heels. The physical therapist gave me a list of 5 sneakers I could use, and these happened to be on sale so I got them. These sneakers have excellent arch support and great heel cushioning. My feet have never felt as well as they do in these Asics sneakers! I cannot comment on how they are for running as I don't run. My physical therapist was spot-on with this recommendation for everyday-use footwear for my issues. Couldn't be happier.I was born with flat feet and being on my feet for long periods is very painful, not just for my feet but also my lower back and legs. My dilemma is that I work at a computer all day. I made my own sit-stand solution but I could not stand as long as I wanted in spite of having two cushioned mates stack on each other.That is until I purchased these shoes!! First day they were so comfortable that I stood for over 5 hours. Standing for an hour previously was pushing my max; I could not stand the pain and fatigue.If you need to feel like you are standing on soft gel then this is the show for you.Oh and I also wore them to walk 2 miles the same day I stood for 5 hours. For me it is almost a miracle!!!PS my feet were tired after being on them all day but there was an ability to stand with no pain and that was what I was searching for.Very comfortable shoes. This is my second pair of ASICS. I would make sure you have had a pair to ensure the size you want is correct for your foot. They fit as expected. I am hoping this pair lasts just as long as my last pair lasted. Greatly decreased issues on my feet as i was running. Great product by a great company. Full of options as far as styles. Quality is great and I am so glad i made the change to this type of running shoe. Great for walking, running, jogging. Had no issues making it all over my trip through Europe whether it was walking down the streets, inclined/declined walkways, and the occasional trail through hills. These shoes are great.I really like this shoe. I've run in it off and on since version 17. It's not a flashy shoe, but it is a shoe that gets the job done. What I mean by this is that it's not too soft or too firm. They don't change the design drastically from one version to the next. I'm an older runner and this shoe allows me to keep up my weekly training mileage. I have tried plenty of max-cushioning shoes, including the Nimbus, and have had problems with blisters at high mileage. I can do high mileage at a decent pace in this shoe with no significant issues. If you are needing a "go to shoe" this might be it.I am not sure whether these shoes are the most comfortable, since I get blisters on my left heel and my feet can get sore in them, since they’re not very cushioned, but they do the one thing I, which is to keep my ankles and heels locked into place, and allow me to pronate and use the appropriate muscles when I stand, walk and sit. This is something not many shoes give me, and as a consequence, I suffer from hip misalignment and have to go to the chiropractor every two weeks to get adjusted, since my pelvis rotates back and to the right.The ASICS Nimbus 23 work better for me, since in addition to helping me pronate, they’re also comfortable and my feet don’t feel sore in them, but after those, I’d take these ones. I kept the ones I bought as backup.My review spans both the Cumulus and the Nimbus, and both 22 & 23, since they are so close to each other. The Cumulus is a touch lighter, but the Nimbus is still light and comfy too so don't worry. These are how shoes should fit, to a T (at least to me and my feet and what I need). Holy cow I never realized how crappy the other shoes I'd been wearing over the years really were until I forked over the cash and tried these based on reviews here. I wanted to sleep in them they are so comfy to me. I work in a hospital and am on my feet 12+ hrs all shift and I've never had such a great shoe. Soft, lightweight, airy and well ventilated, supportive, they just hug my feet and have great grip even on wet hospital floors (Wet with what? Well, use you imagination there). Sometimes I even run in them, down the halls when a code is called overhead. Otherwise they are simply outstanding for walking all day on hard floors too, not just running. I have ponied up and bought about 5 pairs of these in different colors and have a few stashed away in my closet for when they're needed since after a while my size is no longer available anywhere, or maybe only in the ugliest color, so I've learned to stock up when I find something I like, like you would with other things you stock up on. Anyway, bravo ASICS, these are great.Asics used to have great shoes. This new pair is very comfortable, I mean amazing but they are not built like they used to. After just over 2 months of use, the back part holding my heel is already damaged and won't return to its natural position.My husband wears a size 15 and needs a shoe that supports a big person. That means expensive shoes. We found last year's model, exactly what he had worn out, for 60% the price of this year's model. Very, very satisfied.Already coming apart after 3 months of use. Being used for 4 hours a week in running, and the bottom are already shearing apart.
