I brought these shoes after extensive online research, looking for a shoe - "sneaker" - that would be good for walking, but not be clunky or old fashioned looking like some of the competitive brands. Walking is my main exercise, either treadmill or pavement. The Cumulus 21 is a running shoe, but has a little more support and insoles that make it a natural for walking as well - per the reviews. After logging about 20 miles (have had the shoes for less than a week), I find that the support is excellent. They are a little heavier than a true runner, but to me, that means they are more substantial and durable (especially for walking). I feel like I'm getting more spring to my steps versus a pair of old walkers that I have. I guess this is due to the configuration of the soles and insoles. The shoes are comfortable enough to wear all day, even around the house. They are cool and seem to "breathe." The fit is basically perfect - I wear a 9-1/2 D. The shoes are not tight, even brand new - my foot basically slides in them without issue. There is plenty of room for my toes - the previous walkers actually scrunched my toes together. On the other hand, they are not loose or floppy. As I said, a perfect fit. On the downside, I did get a small blister on a middle toe of one foot - fixed this by lacing the shoes up tighter and switching to a better athletic sock.Overall, I like this shoe and would highly recommend it. I am considering buying a second pair.
