My husband lives in Gel Nimbus. Running shoes. He is on his feet at work and has bony feet and high arches. He uses these shoes for work and everything else. They have to be Gel Nimbus. He has tried other Asic models and other brands of athletic shoes. Only the Nimbus keeps his feet comfortable, Standing, walking and fast walking, this is his shoe. He likes the padding because it is very good but does not interfere with forward motion. Plus they last about 6 months with wearing them all day. They still have life but he does not wear them completely out but changes when they are losing their cushion . This pair is about his 20th pair and they are dependably alike.
