The bounce is fun, there's no denying that. I expected a more plush inner. The outer is thin and the insole is very thin, provides no cush.Most people say this shoe runs small so I went a half size down. That was a mistake. Even before putting in my custom insole my toes were on the edge.But what ultimately killed these for me was the spot below my heel. It caused my foot to get sore as I felt like I was stepping on a spot that wasn't flat. If I had bought a bigger size I could've tried some insoles to maybe fix it but alas.I had tried everything for this Plantar Fasciitis. Splint at bed time, wraps around my feet all day. inserts from my doctors office. Buying different shoe after shoe. Nothing, absolutely nothing was working. Then on my last visit before we were to schedule surgery my foot doctor said" I want you to buy a pair of Asics shoes. We were trying everything because I did not have time for surgery. As soon as I returned home I ordered these shoes. I could already hear my kids saying" yep your old mom. When they arrived I thought here we go again. But Amazingly when I put them on I felt like I was walking on a cloud. But i needed to wear them all day to see how my pain would be. I could not believe it, My pain was GONE! just like that. yes I wear the inserts the doctor gave me in the shoe. BUT I AM NOT KIDDING..... THE PAIN IS GONE! I am still so impressed months later. I bought a pair for my husband and all my kids. LOVING THIS SHEIt took way to long to get . When you have to ask a seller on Amazon several times it's too long. With no communication. Not the best shoe but good for walking.I walk about 50 miles a week on paved streets/walks. I needed a shoe to handle bunions, my high arch and supination and to help manage toe blisters. I tried the ASICS Novablast in my normal size (Women Size 10) but found the shoe was too narrow in the toe box and ASICS doesn't make a wide width in this particular style....BUT I had an idea and ordered the same shoe in men's (size down at least 1.5 size) - and they worked out really well.This is my second pair of Novablasts! They are the most comfortable shoe I’ve worn in a Loooooog time!Love them. They seem a half size larger than usual. I have been wearing pairs of gel cumulus for years. This is my fist pair of Novablast. The support is super! The gel has a lot of springiness. Pleased with this purchase. If you’re a distance runner or even a light jogger you need to try these.Update: the laces with these are the worst laces I’ve ever bought with a pair of running shoes. When I changed them with another pair they fit much much better. Never realized how much the quality of laces mattered. Change the laces! They no longer seem a half size large.Stable table excellent walking shoes right out of the box. Ordering another pair to save for when these wear out.So far the wife has run in the Novablast twice and is very happy that she’s not experiencing foot pain while running like her old shoes. She says they feel very bouncy.Excellent for walking long distance. Helped with my energy levels and endurance. Light weight & great looking. Impressive A+
